Following a degree in psychology, Mairon worked for more than 25 years in the youth care and protection as a social worker, work supervisor, team leader and consultant, where he gained more than 15 years of coaching experience along the way. With this cultivated knowledge he decided to take a new turn in his career and started his own business as a vitality coach in 2016.
He obtained his certifications as a massage therapist from the Thai Traditional Medicine School (Watpo-Bangkok) and Thai-Hand (Amsterdam), and also studied Massage and Movement Therapy at ProEducation (NCOI). Beside this he also works as a pilates instructor and performs on a national scale in a modern dance theatre company.
His therapeutic and intuitive massages are always customised to the individual needs, with the final aim to let the body relax and recover from any source of stress, both physical and mental.
During a massage you become aware of the signals of your body. You will come closer to yourself while your energy flows and your muscles relax. In short, you will feel better in your body.
Besides the different massage techniques (effleurages, kneading, acupressure, trigger points), movement techniques are also applied during the massage, such as stretching, joint movement (anatomical movements) and holistic pulsing (the body is brought into a natural undulating movement what gives a deep relaxation).
This treatment brings relaxation to the whole body and mind. It is beneficial for people suffering from stress, insomnia, body tension, fatigue and burnout.
Deep Tissue Massage
Similar to the sport massage but more intense, as also involves the connective tissue and nerve pathways.
This treatment helps body and muscles to recover more easy and quickly after for example an intense physical training, workout or other sports. It is beneficial for people with injuries, chronic pain or limited range of motion.
The goal of this massage is to bring the body and spirit in balance and harmony. Different techniques like acupressure, effleurages, trigger points, body movements around the joints, are used to stimulate the blood circulation and lymphatic system. This gives a boost to the immune system. The effects of this massage: a combination of relaxation and feeling revitalized, but also release of blockages and feeling the energy flow again.
