We all know that life is not an easy task, and we all know it well. Yet, it is also beautiful and can take our breath away in its little things. For some, that could be hugging their partner after a long day. For others, admiring the sunrise on a great landscape in the early morning warms their heart. Some even love the joy in helping others.
We believe that life in all its magnificence deserves to be enjoyed, and we are aware of the unsustainability of Western societies nowadays. We also know from our personal experience that a quiet mind, which is the goal of yoga, makes everything easier and gives us a life that is way more enjoyable regardless of what it is we find joy in. A healthy body contributes to this too and is the reflection of a light and happy being. Practice is what leads us, and continues leading us, there. That’s why You Can Yoga was created. To make a space for us to share and practice this with the support of a community around us.
Our mission is to give you all the tools you need to brave through life. For more than 10 years You Can Yoga has been an intimate, welcoming, personal, and open environment meant to be a safe and recharging space, for people all around the globe and all walks of life that live in Amsterdam.
We started from scratch and together we have built a strong, lovely, queer-friendly, and passionate neighborhood community. Teachers, students, practitioners, and each member of our team brings something unique to the table.
Whether you are an experienced yogi or just starting out, you are more than welcome to our urban shelter at Stadionweg 283, in the core of the Olympisch Kwartier.
We strive to keep our groups intimate so that you receive a more personal connection with our qualified teachers. Practicing yoga in a large group with one teacher can separate the student and teacher thus killing the guru kulu tradition. The more you can know and trust your teacher the better and faster you will learn. We strive to create a space for you to develop a more personal relationship with your teacher and get the attention and adjustments you deserve in every class.
The essence of our vision and mission is seen in what we do. We offer a broad range of classes and several styles of Yoga: from traditional Hatha to more modern practices meant to target specific needs, like Pregnancy Yoga or Mama & Baby Yoga. We also offer a few functional trainings like Pilates and Core Stability for strengthening our bodies and our practice.
Our team of qualified therapists also offers Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Nutrition, Neuromuscular Activation, Yoga Coaching, and several styles of Massage: Swedish, Thai, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Pregnancy, Sport Massage and more.
We also regularly offer Yoga Workshops and host a yearly RYT 200h Yoga Teacher Training for those who seek a deeper mastery of their practice and their place within themselves.
Yoga literally means to quiet the mind. And it all starts with a long, deep breath. Take one right now. Are you ready to revitalize yourself?

Who we are

Jason Revere
Jason has been on the yoga path for two decades now. His interest started with meditation when he was a teenager which led him to his own self yoga practice at home. Not happy with what he found in books he decided to go to India, live in an ashram, and study at the source. There the real inward journey began. Knowing that not everyone is on a spiritual path, but everyone can benefit from yoga, he decided to create a space where yoga is made accessible to everyone. No dogma, just yoga. We are all free to find what we need from yoga whether it’s relief from stress or pain, a clearer understanding our ourselves, fitness, or just a way to ease our minds. Jason also offers Yoga Coaching. If you want to go further, all you need to do is ask. Otherwise, just enjoy the mat.

Gianuario Muntoni
Gianuario discovered yoga at a very young age when his family took him to his very first yoga class. Throughout his life he continued going to classes off and on, starting his journey of self discovery and building the connection between mind and body he was seeking for a long time. Since he was diagnosed with a hereditary lower back injury, yoga became his tool to build strength, flexibility and finally the way to stay healthy, fit and most importantly, pain free. It’s for this exact reason that what he does best is adapt the practice of yoga to the needs and limits of each individual student. Expect a low pace lesson with a lot of attention on how you connect to your body and breath. We’re all the same but our bodies are different.
