Daily Yoga and Active Sailing in the Cyclades
Experience a cruise that combines yoga and navigation. Far away from touristy crowds, we give you the opportunity to take part in a trip full of exploration and adventure and to get more in touch with your body and mind. During the cruise we will stop at different places, unique for their beauty and peaceful atmosphere, to offer you four sessions of yoga. This cruise is for everyone, from beginners to advanced. What we will offer you
Every participant will be a member of the crew, learn how to sail and be involved in all activities on board (manoeuvring, navigation) and in all aspects of daily life. No sailing skills are required. The daily trips are between 4 and 6 sailing hours, depending on the distance and wind conditions. If possible, there will be a stop around noon to swim and have lunch.
Your skipper has extensive knowledge of the Greek islands and will help you to discover their picturesque small ports as well as the most famous and beautiful beaches in the Cyclades and their crystal clear waters.
Every day a yoga session is planned during the cruise. Depending on the daily sailing plan, the lessons will be held in the morning or in the afternoon. Suzanna will take you to the most beautiful places for relaxing yoga sessions combined with stretching and meditation. This way you can enjoy and appreciate the charm and magic of the Cyclades while going deeper into your yoga practice.
A Typical Day on Board
Waking up around 7am, 8am Yoga session, 9.30 breakfast, shopping, tydiying up and getting ready for navigation.
Departure is around 9am and 10am, it usually takes from 4 to 6 hours to arrive at the next destination, depending on the distance and the wind. If possible, we stop for a swim and lunch on board. The aim, of course, is to make the thrill of sailing a pleasant experience for everybody, every day. The skipper will be at your complete disposal to help you improve your sailing skills.
In the afternoon the sail boat will anchor in a traditional Greek harbour or remote bay where you can either discover the local charms or just relax on board the boat and enjoy the beautiful Aegean sea.
At the end of the day you can share your experiences with the rest of the crew while tasting a traditional Greek “Ouzo”. In the evening we will have dinner in a typical island tavern where we will introduce you to traditional Greek cuisine, or we can cook a meal on board. Before nightfall the skipper and crew will discuss the itinerary of next day’s voyage.
Suzanna started teaching yoga in 2009 in combination with sailing workshops in Greece. She is also an experienced sailor and has been sailing in Greece for many years. For her, combining sea, sailing and yoga in the Cyclades is an exceptional experience that she would love to share with you. She started practicing yoga 20 years ago at the Iyengar Institute in Amsterdam and later she shifted more towards Therapeutic Stretching. Recently she finished her Yin teacher training as well. With these combinations her focus is on deep stretching combined with breath work to unblock physical imbalances. Suzanna is Dutch and also speaks French, English and Greek. Practicing yoga for over 14 years, she will help you work your body and to and find the peace and relaxation through Iyengar yoga, stretching and massage.
Price for the sailing cruise: € 1200 per person
What's included in the price?
Accommodation on board in a double cabin, full bedding, towels, services of the skipper, every day a yoga session and yoga equipment. All meals on board, dining out, sightseeing and museum visits.
What's not included:
Airline ticket,airport transfers, rental car or scooter and bar bills.
